Alan Ross

Alan is an experienced consultant providing research, training, evaluation and consultancy on health and social issues. Prior to this Alan worked as a researcher for the Scottish Centre for Social Research in Edinburgh and for the Department of General Practice at the University of Edinburgh.

A skilled facilitator and researcher, Alan uses a wide range of tools and techniques to engage groups. He has particular skills in working with groups of people with additional needs where extra time and skills are needed. His experience includes extensive consultation with young people on a wide range of issues affecting their lives: health, sexual health and relationships, youth participation and citizenship, education, employment and training.

Alan has particular expertise in:
Working directly with children and young people to ascertain their views.
Working directly with children and young people in order to give the skills and support to undertake research/evaluations and produce their own reports.
Facilitating and design of events for children and young people.
